Hundreds of federal judges face the same task every day: reviewing an affidavit filed by federal agents and approving search warrant requests. But for U.S. District Judge Bruce Rinehart, the fallout from his decision to approve a search warrant was anything but routine. He has faced a barrage of death threats since his signature cleared the way for the FBI to search former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate as part of an investigation into whether he improperly removed sensitive materials from the White House....

Officers were responding to a report of a man making threats outside a convenience store Sunday in the small town of Mulberry, about 140 miles (220 kilometers) northwest of Little Rock, near the Oklahoma border, authorities said. The video shows one officer hitting the suspect with a clenched fist, while another is seen hitting the man with his knee. The third officer holds him down on the sidewalk. In video captured from a car nearby, someone yells at the officers to stop hitting the man in the head....

Police were called to the Midtown Co-op around 2:35 p.m. after reports that a large truck had crashed into the side of the building. The truck driver fled the scene. Officials say the truck came from eastbound 10th Avenue and then headed south on 11th Street before crashing into the side of the building. “Too fast,” said one witness. “Very fast. A Florida judge has told the Justice Department to file a redacted version of the FBI’s warrant affidavit to search Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. Judge Bruce Rinehart says he is willing to partially release the document, as media organizations have requested. He will make a final decision next week after the changes are completed. Un enfant de douze ans a été convoqué par la gendarmerie jeudi 18 août, soupçonné d’être l’auteur de cinq incendies dans les alentours de Saint-Malo-de-Beignon (Morbihan), rapporte France Bleu Armorique. Le jeune garçon a reconnu les faits auprès des forces de l’ordre. Il sera présenté à un juge pour enfants prochainement. Selon les informations de France Bleu Armorique, le garçon est soupçonné d’avoir allumé des feux en bord de route à divers endroits autour de cette commune du nord du département....

Vers 4 h samedi, un appel au 911 a été fait au sujet d’un homme poignardé sur la rue Gervais près du boulevard Industriel dans le secteur de Montréal-Nord. La victime, un jeune de 17 ans, a été retrouvée blessée au haut du corps par des agents du Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
