A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “At around 9.18am. on Friday, August 19, police received a report of a man in distress at a flat in Butts Road, Southwick. “Officers responded to the scene and in the interest of everyone’s safety, the man was taken into custody before being taken to hospital with a minor injury.” A photo taken at the scene shows a large response from emergency services, including ambulance crews. A man can also be seen on a stretcher. There were earlier reports on social media that there had been a stabbing.
