A man died and a woman was injured in hospital after a gunman opened fire at a shopping center in Sweden today. Armed police rushed to the Emporia shopping center in Malmo at around 5pm local time after a suspected fight broke out. Terrified shoppers fled in panic as the building was evacuated and police cordoned off the area. Police have since arrested a teenager. National news agency TV4 in Sweden reported that “around 20 shots were fired” in the incident on Friday. Sweden has one of the highest gun homicide rates in Europe.
