CPS officials say one person was stabbed and taken by ambulance to Foothills Medical Center in critical, life-threatening condition. An EMS spokesman says a paramedic crew responded to the scene at 9:30 p.m. and the victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, suffered multiple traumatic stab wounds. “What was of concern to our paramedics was the nature and number of injuries that this man had sustained,” said EMS Public Education Officer Stuart Brideaux. “There were a lot of stab wounds and stab wounds that he had sustained. “It was also unclear to EMS exactly where this incident occurred or even the length of time between when he was injured and when 911 was called.” Police have not said if any arrests have been made in connection with the attack. CPS officials confirmed the stabbing victim’s condition had stabilized as of Friday afternoon. A section of the Riverwalk between the Center Street Bridge and the Edmonton Trail was closed to pedestrians and cyclists, and one lane east of Memorial Drive was closed to traffic in the area from Thursday night until late Friday morning
