The New York Police Department has arrested two of five suspects wanted in the beating death of a cab driver in Queens over the weekend.
Two men were arrested overnight, according to the New York Post. The newspaper reports that the arrests were confirmed by police sources.
Austin Amos, 20, was previously listed as wanted in connection with the death of 52-year-old Kutin Gyimah, FOX 5 New York reported.
Gyimah was his married father four young children from Ghana, He was living with his family in the Bronx and working at his job as a taxi driver in Queens on Sunday morning when he dropped off a group of five passengers at about 6:30am. near 54 Beach St. and Arverne Ave.

The NYPD identified twenty-year-old Austin Amos as one of Kutin Gyimah’s alleged attackers.
Instead of paying for the taxi, the group allegedly tried to rob Gyimah. Law enforcement sources told WNBC that surveillance footage shows Gyimah chasing the group on foot, grabbing one of them as he tried to escape.
The group then allegedly begins beating the driver. One of them delivered a blow to Gyimah that sent him to the pavement and rendered him unable to get up again.
The beating was reportedly caught on surveillance video by the NYPD. So far, none of the five suspects have been arrested.
